HBYC is now offering Marine Radio Operator Courses. 

You can learn how to operate VHF if you only intend to sail in enclosed or coastal waters. You can also be trained to use HF if you're more adventurous and plan some longer adventures offshore or just want to be a part of an ocean racing crew.

The course will consist of two 2-hour evening sessions and a written exam for the VHF qualification. Those who want to gain the HF radio qualification will also need to attend the above sessions but will have an additional 2-hour session before their exam.

Upon completion participants will receive the relevant internationally recognised qualification issued by the Australian Maritime College on behalf of the Australian Communications and Media Authority.

NON-MEMBER COST

• VHF only | $250 
• VHF + HF | $325

MEMBER COST

• VHF only | $225
• VHF + HF | $292.50

SEASONS PASS HOLDERS

• VHF only | FREE
• VHF + HF | $75
