HBYC Boating Acadey - Marine Radio Courses

HBYC is now offering marine radio operator Courses. You can learn how to operate VHF if you only intend to sail in enclosed or costal waters, or you can also be trained in the use of HF if you're more adventurous and plan some longer adventures off shore or being part of an ocean racing crew.

The course will consist of two 2 hour evening sessions and a written exam for the VHF qualification. Those who want to gain the HF radio qualification will also attend the above sessions but will have an additional 2 hour session before their exam.

Upon completion participants will receive the relevant internationally recognised qualification issued by the Australian Maritime College on behalf of the Australian Communications and Media Authority.

Non Members Cost:

VHF only - $250 

VHF + HF - $325

Members Cost:

VHF only - $225

VHF + HF - $292.50

Seasons Pass Holders:

VHF only - Free

VHF + HF - $75
