Junior squad
Junior Fleet is held most Sundays Term 1 and Term 4. It is FREE, you just need to join as a junior member $155. If you have a child, grandchild, niece/nephew etc that would like to join us, please contact: manager@hbyc.org.au.
Additional Information
Our Junior Fleet allows the kids not only to learn to sail but form friendships and become part of the club community. There are many social occasions during the year for them to interact with other children in the club. We teach the Juniors according to the Yachting Australia Dinghy Training Scheme, which means that they not only get to 'muck around in boats' but get a national accrediatation at the same time. This is possible as HBYC is a Yachting Australia Discover Sailing Centre.
Not only the Juniors but all of our members have the choice to get some Nationally recognised sailing qualifications. For more info. see our Learn to Sail @ HBYC Page.
The club has a fleet of Pacers and have now introduced International Cadets to the fleet which are the ideal training boat. The Juniors have had great fun on these little boats so far. The pacers with Spinnakers have been a hit with those who have a need for speed!
